One month in Barcelona 😱 😆

So a month has passed already😮 To be honest it seems like it´s only my second week here or even less. Time flew by so quickly that I didn´t even notice it. Guess I´ve been busier than I thought I would be.

On Sunday I got up really late. Finally we got our lazy asses out of the bed😂 Àlex felt a bit hangover from last night, but I was doing fine. We were hungry, so  we decided to order some burritos. Food arrived surprisingly fast and we sat down by the table. Àlex told me great things about the restaurant...but when I took the first bite I wasn´t as amazed as I hoped I´d be. I got a big bite of beans, rice and meat which was too much for me. I switched my burrito with the one that Àlex had, because he had eaten already half of it and some veggies were appearing. I snacked on that for a minute, but still didn´t like it. Guess I´m not a burrito kinda gal😬😄

Later that day we played with Àlex´s nephew. We made some "soup" and watered plants, it was a lot of fun. In the evening we left for the city. It was finally time for Dunkin Donuts😁🍩 We had this plan for a while that we´ll get some doughnuts and watch a movie while eating Dunkin. So we went to the city center and got 12 different yummi doughnuts.

YUM💛🍩

My Monday was spent at the house. I´m still looking for a job, but no luck yet. Throughout the whole day I didn´t do much. In the evening we tried to go visit some stores, and even got to the metro, but then Àlex felt sick so we went back and just relaxed on the sofa till we fell asleep. One hell of a boring day, but you need those too😄

Tuesday started with the gym and after that I finally got the opportunity to look at some clothes at H&M. I saw this cute yellow bodysuit in the beginning of the month and I still remembered it so I just had to go and see if they still had it... THEY DID!!😁😆💪 I bought that, a white crop top and a new sparkly bathing suit. Gotta have some glitter in my life😄✨

On Wednesday Àlex took me to visit Museu Nacional d´Art de Catalunya.

It´s close to Placa d´Espanya and you can get there with a metro, so it´s really comfortable for anyone who wants to visit MNAC. Anyway right in front of the museum you can see the Magic Fountain of Montjuic.

Magic Fountain of Montjuic

It was just marvellous😍 We arrived exactly when it was on (it doesn´t work all day) and in the evenings they have a show with music and lights coming from the fountain. After the fountain we climbed up the huge stairs and with every floor the view got more and more magnificent 🙈😻

In front of the Museu Nacional d´Art de Catalunya

Views at different levels

And right at the top you could see almost everything.. just a wonderful experience.

Besides the view you can also enter the museum and check out the works of some local artists. Usually the ticket costs like 12€, if you want to see the art, building itself and the views on top of the building. But if you come on the weekend, then you can see all of it for free, so remember that next time you´re in Barcelona😉👍 There is another option for entering too which we took. You can pay 2€ and see the main parts of the building and the views and let me tell you it didn´t disappoint at all. At first I was a little confused about what did we pay for exactly. It seemed like there´s only the gift shop and the atrium to see, but later on we saw this big white room with soviet airplanes and a huge organ.

Inside of the museum

Right from that room you could walk out to the rooftop and have a 360 view of the city.

After our return to the lobby
Àlex found out that we missed one place and had to return to the big white room and climb up 3 floors to reach the final part of the rooftop. From there you could see absolutely everything and they had these little map like photos to show you exactly where everything in the city is from that point of view. Absolutely loved it! 😁😌

Views at the top😍

At the park

With my favourite palm tree that day and some gorgeous flowers on the way to the Olympic stadium

Some more flower bushes, btw this is the new top that I got from H&M😌

Fun stairs on the right side of the museum

After the museum we walked around in the parks across the museum and took a detour to visit the Olympic stadium. We didn´t enter since it´s mainly used for concerts and sports event, but we could see inside and walk around it.
Àlex showed me this huge Telefónica tower, which was used during the Olympic games in Barcelona (it was responsible for conducting television coverage).

After that we walked around for a bit more and had a little picnic at the park.

On our way to the park for some lunch😋

There were a lot of pigeons and out of nowhere
Àlex decided to let them try our lunch😬 So instead of 5 pigeons walking around calmly.. there were like 50 of them!!! They all flew in from the trees close to the park and each and every one of them wanted to have their part of our lunch😱😂 Some were staring at us angrily, but decided to leave after a while when they understood that they won´t be getting any more food😅 We had our lunch in peace and started the walk back home. But I decided to take a detour and we went to Tezenis where they sell the cutest swimwear😍 I got myself one pair and it was finally time to return home.
In the evening we went to the cinema to see Black Widow.  It was AMAZIIING😆😍🙉 I got to laugh soo much and the actors cast in the movie were incredible. Would definitely recommend! 10/10. And there are so many new movies coming soon.. I´m already excited😁

On Thursday Àlex and I finally wanted to visit our sushi restaurant. He took me to this place when I had my internship in Spain back in 2019. It´s such a cool place and they have the best sushi I have tried. Sadly I don´t remember the name of the place😬 And Àlex´s favourite part is the rotating table in the center of the restaurant. Chefs put all the food the the table and you can choose what you want depending on if you like the look of the sushi or not. That was the plan for the lunch, but then we found out that the place is closed. Not sure if it´s permanently closed or just temporarily, but we had to find another one, if we wanted some sushi. Luckily there was one close to the house, we walked maybe like 15-20 minutes and arrived to this cute little sushi resto. Don´t know the name of this one either😂😳 but the food was great and the service excellent.

😋😋😋

Food came out so fast that you didn´t even have the time to think. At first when we started to order it seemed like too much food, but the portions were miniature so we had the opportunity to try almost everything. YUM😋🍣🍤🍱

On Friday we didn´t do much. Àlex had a job interview and we went to the gym. It was quite a lazy day.

On Saturday morning we went to the gym and after that the day was spent at the beaaaach😆🌊🌊 The weather was amazing and we found a secluded place right between some rocks. Water was refreshing, but the waves were a bit too strong for me so I had to stay close to the shore.

On Sunday we went to the beach too, but it was so hard to find a suitable spot since everybody comes to the beach on Sunday. We climbed on top of the rocks and stayed there. Entering the water was quite tricky, but manageable with some practice. Sun was stronger than the day before, but the wind made it tolerable.

After the beach we went back to the house real quick and left for a night out with some Àlex´s friends. He has a friend who works at Moonster Jump which is an indoor trampoline center. We had an instructor show us how to do flips and other different tricks, we had soo much fun. 💪👍

Outfit of the day😈

Later on we all went to a sushi restaurant near the trampoline center. The evening was soo funny and I got to laugh a lot. Sushi was even better than on Thursday😋 It´s a bit far from the house for us, but I would definitely like to return there🙌😻

Today is Monday the 19th which means that I´ve been in Barcelona exactly one month already😱. It has gone by sooo fast that it seems a bit surreal actually. Anyway, I spent the day writing this post and laying on the sofa watching Scrubs. My whole body hurts from the day before from all the flips, but I´d do it again😂 I finally got one positive response on my CV, but haven´t had any interviews yet. I still want to have a job at least before the end of the summer.  Sooo fingers crossed and let´s hope for the best🤞
